i’m almost afraid to ask but is there a backstory behind each of the serial killers? also omfg you can’t just make a happy cat face after pointing out that JACK KILLED HIS SISTER I WAS TRYING NOT TO THINK ABOUT IT I CAUGHT IT AND TRIED TO BANISH IT
YES YOU CAUGHT IT :D SUCCESS! it was originally that she just died from an accident but I couldn’t figure out a way to transfer that into killing
so his story, i guess, is that he killed her but subconsciously really misses her (the kid’s crazy, ok) but the only way to…find her again is to repeat what he did to her before she left him? yes? perhaps? plus I just figure he’s a really violent kid ahah
there isn’t too much backstory I don’t think ahaha. Hiccup was Merida’s accomplice from the start but he’s always felt bad about it, because he only killed when he was told to or because of an ‘accident’ when he snapped. like idk you know feeling so guilty about something you just suddenly burst into tears? Like that, except he’d lash out. Then, realizing he couldn’t do it anymore, he cut himself off from it and tried to leave, but because he was gone Merida slipped up and the police tracked down her clues so she needed to go to a new town and pretend she was in a new place/changing tactics so the police would be sliiiightly off track. She wanted Hiccup to help her and he really doesn’t want to but he’s too darn loyal
Rapunzel’s was inspired by this prompt I read on a kink meme, where the disney princesses adopt the characteristics of their story’s villain. she was abused by Gothel, and now, she just thinks she’s being a saviour for people like her (which is why she’s with Once-ler because he’s got the same plot as in the movie, but of course more modern so he’s hurting more people), when she has actually inherited Gothel’s brutality.

I reread it and i think it was the ‘When he can look over at her and she is still, he ceases fire’ that messed it up, at least that’s what i’m getting from it. i can’t ever edit properly ahaha

i know a few streaming sites that haven’t yet failed me so if i can wiggle a movie into my ~obviously so hectic~ life i’ll check it out
i just usually don’t like watching movies unless i’m doing something while I watch…oddly
It is a good movie, definitely watch it.
it doesn’t really seem like something i’ll be super into, but it’s near the top of my list just for Mavis
i mean i’d be lying if i said I didn’t watch countless movies just for interesting-looking characters :/
